My journey to raising chihuahuas began with the heart. Years ago, I fell in love with our first Chihuahua Tico.He is a beautiful fawn long coat with an irresistable teddy bear face and the sweetest personality! It was then that I realized how important it is to have sound champion lines as a foundation for an outstanding, well rounded Chihuahua, I had never met a Chi so friendly and at ease with everyone. Our beautiful Chihuahuas come from strong champion lines, and our puppies are champion sired. We adhear closely to the AKC Chihuahua breed standard, through careful research of the genetics and temperment of these exceptional lines. The physical and emotional well being of both our puppies and their parents are equally important. Through this this labor of love, we are blessed with healthy puppies with nice conformation, and happy, confident personalities. They are fun to show, and a pleasant addition to your home. A puppies early social experience plays a vital role in it's adjustment in life. The puppy imitates the way it's mother as well as the other Chihuahuas in the household respond to it's human family and the world around it. Loving the parent is just as important as interacting with the puppy. Genetics combined with early environmental factors will begin to mold the personality and adaptability of your new puppy. Continued socialization and introduction to a wide variety of people and places once your puppy is in your home will help him to remain open to new people and places as an adult. There is no greater thrill than to hear someone state in amazement, "Your Chihuahua is so friendly!" A WORD ABOUT MERLE There is a great deal of controversy over allowing Merle Chihuahuas to be included in AKC events, or to be included in a champion breeding program. I do not have any Merle Chihuahuas in my program, nor do I intentionally breed a Chihuahua with any known Merle influence in it's pedigree. I have researched these lines closely, and have inlisted the help of those who have knowledge of each of the lines in our adults pedigrees to help keep the merle influence out of our program. I do not intentionally place puppies in a breeding situation in which they might be bred to a merle or merle gene carrier.
Show prospects are occasionally available to approved show homes. Puppies that are placed as a companion will be placed with limited AKC registration and spay/neuter contract, upon application and approval. If you would like more information about our Chihuahuas, please feel free to contact me. |
